Roccaccia

Home > Roccaccia

La Roccaccia is an ancient watchtower that was built in the 11th century in an enchanted scenery, set between Mount Sibilla, the Gorge of Infernaccio and the village of Montefortino.

In medieval times it was used to control the passage of men and goods in the upper part of the Tenna valley. After several restructuring works which lasted many years, today La Roccaccia can be enjoyed as a luxury retreat for those who look for peace, relax and meditation. The tower  has regained its new beauty, at the centre of a system of paths and nature trails within which artistic creations have been placed. Walks, panoramic viewpoints, uncontaminated places delivered by time and gardens are scattered with land art creations, a meeting point between human creativity and the natural world.

The landscape view from his amphitheater is one of a kind and breathtaking. La Roccaccia is a place where peace and silence will let its guests enjoy a relaxing holiday time. Surrounded entirely by a green garden featured with art works and statues which add an even more original artistic touch.

This ancient medieval tower is one of the places where to enjoy the real halo of Le Marche.
